I am a female american artist living in Los Angeles with a very strong desire to live and work abroad. ( Holland, Scotland or Ireland ) All of the sites I read about doing so do not cater to artists....so I am a little in the dark about my situation. I can say that i do make a small living as an artist. I have two galleries representing my work in two major US cities. The income is not steady but i do very little else and i pay my rent, food, supplies etc.. I survive. Can I just pack my bags and go!?? I have friends in Holland I can stay with and just start a life there....BUT legally? is this necessary. ? I dont have LOTS of money at all and i may need to take a part time job someday..but i dont care what it is...painting houses is even ok with me. I have my art career but in the off months i do odd jobs here in the states as well..even painting houses.... I guess what i need to know is how other artists do it....? We dont qualify in the same way as business people workign for an overseas company and I am really unaware of the ramifications of staying longer than 3 months, lets say in Holland without a visa. Can you muttle through my questions and help me a little. Thank you
